This was a Conceptual Project. I created this product with the purpose to enhance the benefits of knitting to kids in elementary, middle, and high school. Kids would reinforce the essential skills learned in school (reading and comprehention, hand-eye coordination, math, and problem solving through knitting.)
This product also would give the student a chance to learn about community service, empathy, the importance of helping those in need with the final result.
All materials above would be included in one package.
Cozy has three skill levels:  Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced level. Each level has a project that entails different knitting patterns. Each level teaches a different stitch, and they are color coded.
Each kit includes all the tools for a successful lesson. The packaging includes the yarn, a pair of knitting sticks for the weight of the yarn, a needle, and the step-by-step instructions for the project.
The idea is to stitch a square with the patterns taught on the skill levels. And have that square piece sent to a Non-Profit Organization that is Nationwide where there are people gathering the squares and join them together and create blankets.
The small blankets are donated to the Hospitals for newborn babies to use during their stay in the NICU.
The large blankets that are donated to Hospitals with Cancer Patients that are used to keep them warm during their Chemo Treatments.
This project would allow the students to learn the importance about helping out the community and those in need. Along with learning the skill of knitting. Therefore, reinforcing basic reading and comprehension techniques, hand-eye- coordination, and math skills.
These are collateral materials that were designed in order to promote the kit. These are postcards, and business card size materials , and stickers.
